None of that has anything to do with what we're talking about. He left FSU and wasn't penalized. In fact, he was rewarded more than any college coach ever.
So if the new school or an NIL collective pays the price of a 1 year scholarship to the previous school, all is good? If it doesn't matter who pays the coach's buy out, it shouldn't matter who pays the athlete's buy out.
That wouldn't decrease the # of transfers any more than coaches' buy-outs have stopped coaches from switching schools.
