I am a fan. I knew Britt would be a star at NU. My gripe is not with her but about how pointless pre-season All Conference and All American selections are. The story of her selection has a headline that said she "earned" a selection. No she didn't. She earned her post season awards last year but neither she nor any of the others have earned a thing yet this season. These pre-season all this and that teams have always been a pet peeve of mine. Make the athletes EARN their accolades.
There was sign in the Detroit Tigers clubhouse back in the 70's (my college baseball coach told me) that read "If you are still going by what you did yesterday you haven't done a damn thing today". I've found that advice valuable throughout my adult life.
