I would imagine he covers all of it, hence the special teams coordinator title.
Maher played three all phases of Special teams as a player , Kick off man , Field goal kicker and Punter which means he knows what to do and how it's supposed to look as he had to know where to kick it and how the coverage was set up in all three phases of ST's to cover that kick. He will do fine.

I hope this works out. I guess I fall in the cautiously optimistic “wait and see” camp. I’d love to see Maher excel in this role!
my impression has always been that the best special teams coordinators are a bit crazy. not sure Maher fits that. We'll know soon enough how it goes.
