And farewell to our wonderful seniors. As lousy as we all feel this morning, I’m sure the girls feel a lot worse. They should hold their heads high. Another magnificent season. 66-5 over the last two years. Two B1G championships. Two Final Fours. These are tremendous accomplishments.
Only one team can win each year. Sometimes the other team takes it away from you. That’s how I look at last night. Penn State played a great match and made a few more plays when it counted.
Would we benefit from making some changes, system-wise, offensively? That’s for brighter volleyball minds than mine to figure out. But I do feel like our offense should be more efficient, considering how well we pass.
For now, let’s appreciate what we have and what we’ve seen the last few years. Well done, ladies!

Agree completely. Last night's game was frustrating as a fan but, as you say, the team will always feel worse than the fans about how this season ended. Penn State upped their game when needed and they are a great team. And, they have a front-row AA type attacker who took over the match down the stretch. The beauty of the Husker team is that they have multiple attacking threats that make them hard to defend; but, there is not an OH that can be automatic in that way. It was a great season that ended in a Final Four that had all four of the tournament top seeds playing there.

I am torn on who to cheer for in the Final - former Husker player Dani Busboom Kelly? Or, a gritty Penn State team with Katie Schumacher-Cawley battling cancer while rarely missing a practice.

I am going with the former Husker. Plus, I just can't bring myself to root for Penn State. ;-)

I guarantee you'll know your choice when the game begins, it never fails, you will know.
