This is where we need to stop the speculation one way or another on who is coaching this team next year. People don't like the unknown, this just proves it

Understand your point, but I don't want any AD at any time making a coaching decision based on commitments or defections from 17-18 year old high school seniors. And I am not saying that is what you are getting at, just my view on things as they currently stand.

Do you think he is basing this decision on message board posters, or on the 4-4 record combined with the coach’s boss getting fired mid season?

I think it is more on fan base reaction and his coach's boss firing has no implications as he committed to MR and his staff not MR boss.

I have been reading post of late and have wondered how the effect of fan input on giving up on MR would translate in current recruits and now it is quite evident. Maybe we should all take a pause and consider our responsibility of being the greatest fans.
Seriously, it’s all the fans? Not the beatdown from Wisky? Not being able to get the team to show up against OSU? Kids want to win.

Unfortunate. But part of college football. Even if it was announced today that Riley would be here next year, the images on the field of play are not encouraging to anyone, including recruits. Hopefully, if a change is made, a good chunk of the class can be salvaged. We’ve been through this before.

He would not have decommitted if MR's job was secure.

There some truth to this, but the real issue has been the product on the field.

So you would make a complete coaching change and be willing to wait another 3 to 4 years to try this again to be right back where we are right now? This without trying to make a few assistant coaching changes and seeing what the recruits (we could have had) would have done for the program?

This is just the beginning I am guessing. KJ Sr, And Gebbia's Dad were the hints.

Had KJ’s son not been smoke’n weed, we might have enjoyed his services this season and pulled out another W or two. KJ Sr. should’nt be commenting at all. He’s not even a stakeholder any more - just the parent of another pothead.

Have you actually read what he wrote?
