Booing During Injuries

Let's not compound a disappointing season and loss by losing our character and identity as fans. Booing every time an Indiana player was injured was classless. It was noticed by the Indiana fans, players, and coaches.

At least NU fans fill the stadium, I'm sure that was noticed by Indiana fans, players and coaches as well. Think some were legit, but some were suspect.

Did you see the couple of times when defensive players literally collapsed WHEN Nebraska started going into the hurry up offense? A few of them were so obvious even the announcers were talking about it.

Fans should never boo legitimate injuries. However, if I want to see acting...I will choose to go to the movies.

If you were watching on tv quite a few of those injuries looked a little fishy. James Laurinitis the color guy was questioning a few of them. Not all of them but 2-3 of them were pretty iffy after Nebraska would get a few things going. Everyone of them was when Nebraska was on offense.

Players are coached to go to the ground whenever they are injured so that the team has time to get their backup into the game. There isn't a single fan in the stands who has any clue whether or not a player is actually injured. The timing was poor, no doubt about that, but it doesn't change the fact that booing an injured player is classless.

Some were legit. Some looked like they took flopping lessons from Vlade Divac......

Maybe some of the Indiana players are huge James Harden fans?

We should never boo injuries at all. Fans and announcers are unable to identify 'legitimate' injuries while watching the game. There are plenty of legitimate injuries that occur during every game that go unnoticed by announcers and fans. If a team is in a hurry up offense, the player's only option to get off the field safely is to go down.

Several of the “injuries” were definitely suspect. But I agree with you the booing was pretty sad. Worse though was the guy 2 rows behind me who’s 7 year old was parroting everything he was saying, “cheaters” “fakers” etc...

Dude, this has become a fairly standard practice to disrupt the rhythm of offenses like Frost’s. It was literally the coach’s kid that did one of the flops.

I agree. Some were suspect, but it is impossible to know. The booing was out of character for Nebraska fans.

Please make sure you e-mail all of the Big 10 Network announcers because they must also be reprimanded for having the audacity to question the same injuries the 90,000 fans were responding to during the game.

The announcers are supposed to be impartial and call the game like they see it. They saw potential fake injuries and questioned it.
