Judging from our apparent NIL situation, I'm not sure we have "donors of substance" any further. We are going back almost two generations now to the Solich years. This program has been in decline since Callahan, and accelerated greatly when we left the Big 12. That's NOT to say leaving wasn't the correct decision. It probably was the correct decision financially AND it ushered in our irrelevance, BOTH.

I've cried two times during a Husker game:
* Cory Schlesinger 2nd TD at Orange Bowl
* Jack Hoffman TD 2013 Spring game

Those teams had heart.
I'm not expecting to cry a third time this year.

I literally cried when Va Tech beat us in the closing minute in Blacksburg. Had a few martinis after that.
