I don't think we have made any advancement in the win loss success rate of our programs, so if that is the measuring stick, he has not done a very good job.. If that is not on him, just how do we judge him? That he agreed to give $5Milion annually to a football coach that has given us a very lousy win loss record in his time here, as well as making us look silly off and on? Of a BB program that seems to have hit bottom? Or a decline in certain women's sports performances? We like to think he got a football schedule last fall, but if OSU had not jumped on board we never would have had that.
So its hard for me to see the positives, whatever they might be. At best he's an ordinary AD, somewhere in the lower tier of those we have had.
What would we be losing if he leaves to take a commish job at the PAC 12? It would certainly be a step up for him if he wants it and therefore wouldn't reflect badly on our AD job.. If the next guy in didn't want the current head football coach, I'm not sure that is a great loss
But it doesn't matter. They aren't going to take him.

You may be right.
I have lived in PAC 12 country for over 20 years and I have found their fans to be very apathetic for the most part. Either way, I hope we keep Moos. I like him a lot.
I do too.
I don't listen to what anyone in these positions say.. they all skirt around the truth when speaking to the media.. and I understand why... but I am also smart enough to know we won't know the truth until it is announced and it is either him or someone else.
Moos has demonstrated that he is a leader with a vision, which I think the Pac-12 could desperately use.
But, I don’t think Moos would fit the culture very well. Part of what resonates with Husker fans is his matter-of-fact approach, and I don’t see that going very far on the West Coast. I think those schools would prefer someone a little less frank and a bit more suave - and I don’t see Moos changing who he is.

Aside from Washington and big money alums from SC and Oregon, I think that's exactly right. It's why CU fits so well.
I hope Moos stays as well. He seems like a decent AD at worst and not a scumbag at all. Solid start.
My thoughts exactly. What they are looking for is a change guy that will need 5-7 years.
I could see him serving in some future advisory or consulting role to a PAC12 commissioner, but that would depend on who is selected.
We need to raise a dowry so they do.
