BIG & the NCAA Tourney

I know I've harped about the weak baseball conference the BIG is, but I am pleasantly surprised how they have showed so far in the NCAA tourney. Maryland got a bad draw with WF. They have been respectable.

As an added note, the Clemson TN game was the best game I saw all year.

Maryland eliminated by George Mason. :Eek: :Lol:

Wake Forest will play George Mason in the regional final. What an embrassing end to the season for Maryland. But as I pointed out, the Terps went 1-6 against RPI top 100 non-conference teams in the regular season. 1-7 after the loss to Wake. George Mason was not top 100.
 
Xavier eliminated Vanderbilt in Nashville. Vandy doesn't even make it to the final of their own regional! :Eek: :Lol:

Texas won the Miami regional without a loss, beating the home Canes twice. Hook em! :Eek: :Lol:

Indiana State eliminates Iowa.

At least the Hawkeyes played to their seed. Maryland couldn't even manage that.

Indiana got hammered by Kentucky today, 16-6. Those two will play again for the regional crown.

Bad day for the Big Ten.

Fun regionals.

6 of 16 one-seeds went down. Miami, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Arkansas, Clemson, and Oklahoma State.

TCU was very impressive. Scored 44 runs in 3 games, which included beating home team and #3 overall Arkansas 12-4 today after beating the Hogs 20-5 yesterday.

Oral Roberts is the biggest underdog. Won the Stillwater regional as the 4-seed -- and they did so without losing even one game.
