Big Ten Women's Tournament

The women gave it a good try. 3 games 3 days against a fresh team that is highly ranked. Britt Prince is the next Caitlin Clark. I posted that back in December and some on here were skeptical. She IS a freshman and it was early in the season. She must improve certainly. A little crisper passing and I expect her shooting to improve although her percentage is good. I imagine her 3pt shooting will improve. I am excited for her.

It might be a little much to say she's the next Caitlin Clark; but, she is very, very good and should certainly be among all-conference types of players. Williams needs to use that as a selling point and get really good players around her. Iowa's recruiting classes around Clark were really good, especially at the post position.

I'll note that neither of the co-Big Ten freshmen of the year were named Britt Prince (although she did make the all-freshman team). I just watched Olivia Olson (Michigan) twice and Jaloni Cambridge of Ohio State. I was more impressed with Olson and fellow All-Freshman team member Silah Swords than Cambridge as both were among the team leaders in scoring with over 20 last night.

Four of the five all-freshmen team members will be playing later today (Michigan vs. USC, which has Kennedy Smith. Ohio State against UCLA.
