LB recruiting has absolutely gone terrible. They've missed on several top of the board guys. Choe Bryant-Strother will be #5 along with Cody Simon, Malik Reed, Latarie Kinsler and Caleb McCullough. ALL of those guys were priority targets. At this point, how can you be confident they close the deal with kids like Kaden Johnson, Mister Williams, Regen Terry or Jared Ivey? Can they really get in the mix for Desmond Tisdol or back in it for Devyn Curtis? Can they realistically flip Brennon Scott?
LB was the top need of this class and has been a huge need for a few classes in a row now. After Ruud was able to get guys like Honas, Henrich and Hannah in '18 and '19, it's surprising how bad it's gone this year. Jovan DeWitt has been a complete nonfactor on the trail since he's been at Nebraska. I'm taking Hank Hughes, Bruce Read territory. If Nebraska whiffs on LB'ers this class, when you're wanting to sign a minimum of four and actually up to six, that can't go unaddressed.
