We only played 5 games on defense this year, Impaler?
How many points did PSU put up? Washington did not "whup us all day."
It amazes me how so many fans will manipulate the stats to slam the team. Kind of incredible to me.
At least Cardinal had the good sense not to come back to this thread.
No, and I didn't suggest as much did I? Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing. 41.6% must equal 100% now? Sorry to disagree with you on UW, but they put up 42 points on us and 420 yards. How is that not whooping the D? What exactly snowballed on us in that game? PSU put up 14 points, and 375 yards. I wasn't aware the argument was about PPG though, but since you want to bring that in, we gave up 27 or more 6 times, and had Braxton not been injured I am guessing OSU would have put up more (only speculation based on how the game was going).
It amazes me how so many fans will manipulate the stats to make the team look better than it actually was. Kind of incredible to me.
What was the score at the end of the 3rd quarter of the washington score?
Too bad the game doesn't stop at the end of the 3rd quarter.
this from the guy who knows Miller would have led OSU to more point (despite his fumble being the turning point in the game). comedy.
The Impaler said:and had Braxton not been injured I am guessing OSU would have put up more (only speculation based on how the game was going).
the point of third quarter stat was to refute the obviously erroneous statement you made that UW "whooped us all day."
come on, impaler. you're better than this, aren't you?
well if the talent is there ..then it must be poor coaching
My exact quote so there is no confusion:
Sure sounds like I was saying I KNOW.
Sorry, whooped us 3 out of 4 quarters and especially the 4th.
Not even worth responding to the last part.
Ok, you assume that he would have. Again, never the benefit of the doubt to Nebraska.... with friends like these, so to speak.
They scored 17 points in the first three quarters, and had 2 drive of more than 50 yards, turned the ball over 3 times, and scored one of their two TDs on a 23 yard drive.
Almost half their yards and more than half their points came in the 4th quarter after NU put defensive subs in (something that Bo NEVER does... right?). The game was never in jeopardy. They did not "whup" our D.
And yet you did.
Define "young talent".The important part of the quote was "All those teams are loaded with top-flight young talent. The Huskers, it seems, not so much." Not much to debate there.
From his article on the Big 10 Title game:
Recruiting: Nebraska had better put its work boots on and tie them high and tight. Wisconsin and Michigan State aren't going away. Michigan is on the rebound fast. Ohio State will be right back for a run at the top, too. All those teams are loaded with top-flight young talent. The Huskers, it seems, not so much.
I do think our DL is poorly coached....minus Suh (and that was more brute strength than tech) I have seen very very little out of our DL from a pure technically sound pov. Their pass rush moves are god awful, hand placement is very very inconsistent which in turn makes striking and controlling the tempo of the blocker atrocious, pad level gets high, shoulders get turned on a consistent basis...needless to say, I am not impressed at all with what is being done with our DL
