March 10, 2026, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo scored an historic 83 points in a 150-129 win against the Washington Wizards, marking the second-highest single-game total in NBA history. He surpassed Kobe Bryant's 81-point game and trails only Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game, while setting new league records for free throws made (36) and attempted (43)

No defense
When Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points, perhaps the same. When Kobe scored 81 perhaps the same..... But, 83 points is now the second highest scoring total in NBA History, it's awesome. I compare this individual milestone to the 1983 Nebraska v Minnesota arse whooping..... It's INCREDIBLE......
The biggest score in Nebraska vs. Minnesota football history is Nebraska's
84–13 victory on September 17, 1983, in Minneapolis. This game marks the most lopsided loss in Minnesota history and was at the time the largest score ever recorded by Nebraska against an NCAA Division I-A opponent.

It's impressive to score that much, but it was a totally manipulated stat. The Heat were intentionally fouling the Wizards in the 4th quarter so they could get the ball back quickly and let Bam jack up shots. It was actually kind of embarrassing to watch.

HAHAHA..... It's all manipulated. You really are a piece of work. No team ever, tried to let one of their players create a milestone.... NEVER EVER, EVER NEVER~!!! It's EFFING IMPRESSIVE! Nebraska going 26 - 5 this year, dam impressive, but that was manipulated too.... It's called talent.

It was manipulated because the last 20 or so points he scored did not come in the flow of the game. They were up by 25 or something in the 4th quarter against a team that's tanking on purpose for the draft, and they fouled the other team on purpose.
Bam scoring 31 points in the first quarter is impressive, him having 50 at halftime is impressive. But what happened in the 4th quarter to hit 83 was embarrassing.

Dude, just stop. You are the guy that would tell me the sky isn't blue. 83 is the new 81, suck it and shut up. I know you never liked me, and you knew I never gave a care..... 83 is impressive, it's a record whether you like it or not.

What? Wow man, take a deep breath. My posts have nothing to do with you, just my feelings on this 83 point game. And I'm not alone on an island with that view, lots of NBA analysts and former players feel the same way.

The only highlight I saw was where a Heat player threw the ball off the rim during a free throw attempt so that Bam had another opportunity to score, so I completely understand your take.

Just tell me you don’t know crap about basketball if you think this is impressive. It was pure garbage, it has zero standing with actual HOF players who see it as a farce. The sick part is the officials even worked to get the guy to the line with a dozen or more phantom calls. Apparently, they are reviewing the entire game for potential disciplinary action against the refs.

A post guy chucks up a pile of 3s, hitting under 30%. In any world that would either earn you a butt reaming from the coach, or an ass kicking in the locker room at halftime by your teammates. This clown was being gifted buckets in a rout, while every bucket Kobe hit was needed in a 2 point win. Kobe shot 60%, and only took about 18 free throws, not 43.

It was the kind of sham you might see during an exhibition.

So, Wilt scoring 100 and Kobe scoring 81 was just impressive, however, Bam scoring 83 is a joke.

And the bold just cracks me up, because we all know that the refs have it out for our Huskers, it's why we lost to Iowa and Purdue in roundball this year, and the other games in football, it's because the refs cooked this all up..... SUCK IT. 83 is in the record books, whether you like it or not. Let's not even talk about how the refs protected KC's QB over some six years to make sure he and the Chiefs(that's racist) won the SB. That is how stupid you guys are..... It's an awesome milestone in one of the Big 3 Sports in America. 83

Yes, it was a joke. Wilt's 100 weren't just the most all time, he passed Elgin Baylor's incredible 71, by 29 points, in other words, a really good night's scoring for almost any other player. And Kobe had guys playing tough defense because the game was in doubt, not a bunch of clowns making a token effort in a blowout.

What do the Huskers have to do with any of this? Did you hit the Fresca a little hard before your fingers hit the keyboard? Refs have an obligation to NOT influence a game, and putting a guy on the line for 43 free throws, who is not a freakish physical specimen, and continually rewarded for the slightest touch while he was throwing himself into people isn't just bad officiating, it's manipulating a result. The win wasn't in question, and they had no impact on that, but the record is tainted.

The only stupid I'm reading on this posting was a guy trying to tie in the Huskers, Chiefs and 'Merica to a bogus record.
