While we are being 'consumed' by the seemingly more important current events regarding Husker Athletics, here is a post that caught my attention that, sadly, I must repost here.

I am both pleased, and saddened by the news the Harriman family will be returning to Nebraska; they Are one of us. Pleased that Avery will soon be back beside his adopted 'Husker' family where he feels most comfortable, and saddened by the events necessitating his return. This news is a testament to the quality of our medical facilities and caring support of our community. Nothing but Best Wishes and prayers to Avery and his family.

A poster on another board suggested it would be awesome if we could find a home game this year to dedicate to #AveryStrong (I think Benny (and Shavon, and the entire team) would approve!).

There was an interesting post from Avery's Army on Facebook about the family, minus Chris, moving back to Nebraska due to medical care concerns. Here is the post:

Day +344 Post SCT: Here's your halftime report, brought to you by ‪#‎AveryStrong‬!
We are at it again with all the meds. Avery's Graft vs Host disease is at a point where it needs to be treated throughout his entire body. Not only does this mean daily meds for Avery, that suppress his immune system, but it means more needle pokes for him.
As a parent of a child with special needs, its hard not to live in fear, but we try to hand our fear over to God and trust the journey. I know no matter where we are in the world Avery's condition won't change, but its our job as parents to put Avery in the best situation, with the best resources, and great support. Unfortunately the last couple of months have not been in our favor with Drs and schools. For that and a few other reasons we are MOVING BACK TO NEBRASKA where there are more resources and where we absolutely trust the medical care. The experiences we've gone through the last couple of months have made me think...God forbid something more serious were to happen to Avery...this is not the right place for him.
This is the first time that we are splitting up the family (Chris will stay here in NM), so it will be super difficult, but this is whats best for all three of our kids. We are super excited! Avery will be back with the nurses & doctors he feels safe with, he will be back at the same school he feels safe at, and he'll be with the friends he loves. We'll be in a community we love & trust! See you in a couple weeks Husker Nation!!!!

Best wishes for Avery and his family. Such a tough thing to go through for anyone let alone a child.
