Comments:
After the results of the VERT challenge, Nebraska drops to 5, Texas and Florida move up. Surprisingly, the Ducks stayed at 18. Creighton lost to USC and Northern Iowa, but beat Kentucky and only dropped 2. Northern Iowa is new to the rankings, but even though they beat both Kentucky and Creighton, the Panthers are still ranked below them. As mentioned in another post, Kentucky had a tough weekend and lost all 3 matches.

As far as the Big Ten goes, they still have 7 teams in the top 25, but Michigan entered the rankings, and Michigan State dropped out. Michigan State lost to Tennessee. With Ohio State also receiving votes, The Big Ten has 9 teams in the top 35.

The middle blocker for Ohio State had a helluva weekend.

PS If anyone knows how to insert a Word Table into this format, please let me know. It would be appreciated. I R 2 Stoopid, to figure it out.

I thought we would drop a little farther. I am not surprised Oregon stayed the same. They were 0-2, but were very competitive in both matches.

And upon further consideration.................

You're correct about Oregon. I was expecting them to drop a few, but the poll actually did a fairly good job of taking into account the level of competition each of the teams played. Creighton was another team it would have been easy to drop into the twenties, but the voters seem to have put some thought into it. I also thought that Nebraska would drop more, but Penn State didn't play anyone with a pulse (Navy, UMBC, Eastern Kentucky).
Really my only beef, and it is a minor one, is that USC (3-0), Northern Iowa (2-1), Creighton (1-2), and Kentucky (0-3) played it out against each other over the weekend and should be ranked accordingly.
