Atrocious Clock Management…Again!

Even experts in something know that they sometimes have blind spots that third parties can see. Would you rather him just not do anything?
I hope he also gets advice/help on penalties. All in on that. Make a list and check it twice. We definitely looked better in the 3Q but the first half was rough. I don’t care if he decides to sage the stadium like Dan Hurley. We need more discipline. This is a perfect week to start.

The most atrocious clock management in recent football history occurred in SB 39 in 2005.

The coach was Andy Reid.

Let's hope HCMR improves on this aspect before the year 2042.

OK, I still don't understand MR's game management strategies...Especially the use of timouts. The Maryland game did not quell my concerns.

First half TOs were understandable to me. Especially the 2nd where he was hoping for an officials review.
I think it was the 1st TO we took in the first half that was the really bad one, but it was Colandrea that called it, not Rhule. 3rd and 19 backed up in our own territory in the 1Q and burned one because the play clock was running down. It's a situation where we probably aren't picking up the first down anyway. Eat the 5 yards and save the TO for later. Fortunately, we were able to score late in the half without the TO, but made it more stressful than we needed it to be.
