At Iowa January 7 at 7:00 on Peacock

Good news is that it took Iowa making 17 3’s on 50% just to take us to OT. Most teams will lose under those circumstances

The refs in Iowa City always suck. The double dribble late in front of the side ref was criminal. Not calling Sandford on any one of the three fouls he clearly committed, specifically when he pushed Gary out of bounds, early in the second also was criminal, changed the game.

That being said you have to stop 50% 3 pointers and make your FT's if you want to win.

Well, this kind of thing hurts your chances of getting into the top 25. Just when things look to be going our way, we lay an egg.

yes, this happens to other teams, but NU isn't those other teams. NU can't afford to lay an egg like this, they have to show up every time they take the court.

1 - not if we win Sat at Purdue. We get in.

2 - There was no way we were going to win in Iowa City and then in East Lafayette. So if we win Saturday there is no issue here.

3 - idk what your def of "laying an egg" is, but I doubt its losing on the road in OT LOL

4 - Disappointing for sure. But there are quite a few, somewhere around 10 big ten road games? Maybe 11 or 12?
We were always and are going to lose a handful of close games on the road. This wont be the last. Thats how the Big 10 works. If we go on to do what we did last year, which was only win 1 or 2, then this one hurts some. Otherwise, this is just one of a handful of road losses that we WILL lose in close games. Just like the rest of the upper part of the big 10

Lets dont overreact, as usual

This team has formed an identity.
Its play great D, get to the FT line and play O just well enough to win
This Iowa game completely screwed up the second part of that identity. I expect that to be a one time thing.
