Might be able to spin it but how good is he at reading coverage and avoiding a blitz? Could they run any blitzes? Didn't watch it 2 close.
No blitzes allowed.
As with any QB, Mertz is only as good as his protection is. If we can get pressure on him, we will be fine. If we give him all the time in the world, like we have done to almost every QB we have faced the last few years, he will kill us.
He has an outstanding arm and he’s accurate...if they have receivers and a running game he’s a four year starter.

Graham Mertz throws one helluva pretty spiral and puts that ball on a rope. We're going to need a good pass rush against that kid.

but he will be playing in the upper midwest in November. We all know that means he will not be able to throw.
Pola-Gates doesn't look like he is 6'-2" in that photo. For comparison, Rattler is listed at 6'-1" and Robinson at 6'-6".
