Is anyone else headed down to Arlington for the Husker baseball games at Globe Life Field? We were there 2 years ago, and it was amazing. Beautiful new ballfield, great concessions, and indoors! We are currently searching for a place to stay, maybe the Arlington Hampton Inn where we stayed last time, pretty nice place, good breakfast, but a little pricey (175/night). Let me know if you find a better place that's close to the ballfield. GBR!

We are attending. Haven't figured out where we're staying, but it will be in the Arlington Entertainment District. We'll be nailing that down next week, and if I find anything good I'll report in.

I contacted Globe Life Field to see if they were partnering with any local hotels for fans of the baseball tourney (like Frisco did last year) and they said they are not. We ended up getting a La Quinta for a reasonable price within 2 miles from the stadium. Baseball is almost here!

Hey. I live about 20 minutes from Globe Life. $175 a night is actually a decent rate for that area. They have a new hotel near Texas Live, but it is way overpriced in my opinion. I would book early, as that area has grown, so prices may start to go up. Let me know if you have questions. I will help as best I can.

Thanks for the response! We booked at the La Quinta only a couple miles from the ballfield. Can't wait to get down there again, we were there two years ago and it's a beautiful ballpark to enjoy a weekend of games! Do you have any favorite restaurants, sports bars or breweries in the area? I always trust the locals.

Ahhh, I live right by that Laquinta. You are right, the Ballpark is very nice. Texas Live is a good spot if your visiting. Good atmosphere. The food is you know..bar food lol. There is Boomerjacks, Social House, Torchy's.

If you go down CENTER street, that will take you to downtown Arlington, and my wife and I have enjoyed allot of the places there. Such as:

TIPSY OAK
GREASE MONKEY
CANE RUSSO- GREAT PIZZA

You will find about 10 local places in that area.

What is kind of weird is that there are not allot of eating places near the stadium. Never understood that. I BELIEVE you are at the Laquinta off of Highway 30. If you want/depending on time, you are about 20 minutes from downtown Fort Worth, and your eating options increase.

Finally pulled the trigger. Staying at Live by Loews by the stadium. Like the ability to walk to the ballpark. Got a reasonable rate given what it is. Looking forward to going to the National Medal of Honor Museum on one of the days. Really looking forward to it. @95Huskers, thanks for the tips.

If anyone familiar with the ballpark has an opinion on best seats, please advise. Behind home plate, or first or third dugout areas? Any other thoughts on the park?

If you can, get the "All you can eat" section. I have been to the stadium a few times. Hard to find a bad seat. I also sat second level Left Field and was happy there as well. Let me know how the hotel Loews is. Seems nice outside. Also, if you plan on driving, please UBER. Arlington PD are EVERYWHERE LOL

Outstanding! Thank you so much for the info. We will check those places out! We're there for all 3 games. Again, thanks!!!!
