Yep, that kind of surprised me. I have never been a big fan of the Erwin Center, but spending $300 million on an on-campus arena with no practice facilities and only holds 10,000 does not strike me as being a brilliant move.

True, but it is still a lot of money to spend on an undersized arena. If and when Texas has a good basketball team again, there will be a lot of unhappy fans who won't be able to get tickets.
