By 2024, Ewers "should be" in the NFL.
Will he get paid as much in the NFL as he does at Texas?
It is pretty nuts to think Texas will have two of the highest ranked quarterback recruits ever. Both Ewers and Manning are the national #1 overall recruits for their respective classes. I wonder if one college team has ever had this. Doubtful.

nope, ewers starts 2022, gets replaced by manning in 2023, and transfers out, starts at new college team in 2024

Though Ewers will have the advantage of starting this fall while Manning finishes high school. And it would absolutely be more ideal to have Ewers become a multi-year (two) starter -- just for the sake of continuity. By 2024, though, Ewers will be NFL draft eligible. If he's anywhere close to his hype, he won't spend four years (which would include 2024) in college.
We may have a better sense with this watching Ewers play this season.
Somehow, it's been said that Nebraska has more NIL opportunities than Texas. That's truly hogwash. There's not more than 2-3 schools that can come close to matching the dollars UT can throw at recruits.
dont forget tho, ewers reclassified early, so hes only 1 year older than manning, too close to call once they both are in the room.
