Would be shocking to me if Trev was personally meeting face to face with this many people this quickly. Especially 4 active coaches, in one week, all in the middle of the season for them.

CBS Sports or someone reported today that Trev and Meyer did not talk about the job and that Meyer is not seeking a job. Plans to stay at FOX broadcasting. FWIW.
He said they'd be doing a nationwide search, talking to a number of people in the industry for advice, & also contracting with a third party ("mainly for logistics").Didn't he specifically say that's what he was going to do? And it hasn't been all in one week...

If he said something about immediately having personal interviews or screenings lined up, I missed that.
But often they disguise it and use a boosters private plane. And give away my secrets? No way man!
Although of course it could be someone from UNL traveling to one of these places for some other reason, it is pretty easy to connect the dots if you go on one of the flight tracking apps (I use Flight Aware). This assumes you know which company the university uses for charter/private jet flights...
I think you meant to say (“mainly for HIDING logistics”).talking to a number of people in the industry for advice, & also contracting with a third party ("mainly for logistics").
By firing Frost early, Trev gave himself a big advantage. He further cemented that by saying he was going to be conducting a national search and readily admitting that you'll hear lots of names and lots of speculation. Smart move.
This all sets him up to basically interview coaches as he pleases, and he's gotten a big jump on his competition (other ADs) who may not be firing a coach until the end of the season.

Nashville was probably just a bachelor party trip.I know, I know, it's ridiculous to pay attention to stuff like this, but I will say it has helped me tremendously in the last two hiring cycles! Read at your own risk. Here are the places I think Trev has visited so far based on my investigative skills.
Stoops at Kentucky
Leipold at Kansas
Whittingham at Utah
Nashville- I am not sure who that could be.
Des Moines- Campbell, perhaps? (Trev also grew up not too far away from there, fwiw)
Note- it is possible (actually likely) some candidates could meet with him away from their current location, which has happened in the past with previous "recruiting" trips like this. He may also have talked to folks in Lincoln who were there covering the game (wink wink)
We need some "lighter" material in here lately, just some food for thought, my disclaimer is that I am not always right (but I'm right a lot)![]()
