Just what I was thinkingI wonder if he was the last player taken, "who was a starter last season" during winter conditioning.

I would say 1.5I’m curious as to which cycle you see playing out in this thread, as I see none of these things occurring.
Is Anthony Grant someone who is going to be a starter anyways? Was he even going to get in any meaningful playing time even if he isn't a starter? I'll defer to the HC on this, and am not worried about it at all.
I think Grant behind a decent offensive line would be a pretty special player. He's got some of the best change in direction speed I've seen. Not sure he is going to outrun everyone in the open field, but he can be illusive. Just don't think he got an opportunity to really showcase that because our line wasn't opening lanes up.Grant is a very average back. There are hundreds of guys just like him. Not a lot of difference amongst average backs. Plug and play. I wasn’t overly blown away by him. He’s a good player, but nowhere near an elite player. You have to do what you’re supposed to do to remain eligible. Apparently, he hasn’t. If he doesn’t come back, it’s not a huge loss. I think Ervin is better. Didn’t see enough of Allen to judge. I think NU will be just fine in this area.

Grant always seems to keep his feet moving until the very end and at times probably tried to do too much. But, I think his mindset to keep moving and play to the whistle was great. Let's hope he can channel that same mindset to academics.Anthony Grant is a little improvement away form being a stud. Yea hes not perfect, he dances too much at times, but his overall play is excellent. He breaks tackles, makes people miss, gets up field. Lets just focus on a little negative why dont we geez. If the new RB coach works with him a little and he improves, he could be all Big 10. Could be.
The other 3 backs on our roster with experience are good too.
Its probably the most talented position on our team
It appears the new running backs coach and Rhule are trying to get him to go to class before they waste their time trying to make him all B1G. He’s gotta help himself.Anthony Grant is a little improvement away form being a stud. Yea hes not perfect, he dances too much at times, but his overall play is excellent. He may be no Franklin, he is a GrantThink if Grant is willing, he will improve in playing and conduct...and think he's worth it.![]()

200 times better than fiddy centDo you like Franklin?
I don't know. I've never frankled before
It is a predictive post. At the end of this season if no one fits the bill. You can call me out.I guess we see what we want to see? I see no one questioning why a player is not being held accountable or wondering why a player is being held accountable.![]()
