AM590 ESPN Radio done.

I can pick up an AM signal in north central South Dakota on game days if I am not close to a TV. Don't know which station I am getting (Winner, SD?) but it allows me to listen when I am hunting, etc. I am probably in the minority here but sad to see some AM stations bite the dust.

I remember when WOW went country

I do too. It was in the spring, and I was listening to the tractor radio in the field when the change was made.

At that time, music was played off records. Remember the story about the station management going to Kansas City to a variety of record stores to get the music they needed to launch, without raising any eyebrows.

Does anybody live close enough?
Could the rotten reception be due to the antennas in newer vehicles?
I doubt it. Usually, vehicles have better antennas, just to keep a signal while the vehicle is moving. But it is possible new vehicles have cheaper antennas. I don't know for sure, because I drive an old (but still good) car.

Most likely, the radio station has a weaker signal, as the signal strength varies due to weather conditions and time of day.
