No. It’s using what you already have. Emblems dont change. Reverse the color scheme. Very simple. All you need is a new red helmet, but it’s the same as the white one, just color reversal.

I agree that red helmets would be an interesting twist. In the modern era, we've only attempted red helmets once and that was in 2014. (Nebraska had red helmets back pre-1960.) The issue with the 2014 helmets is they opted for matte red and the shades didn't match up with the jersey (helmets almost looked orange on TV). I typically like matte helmets (big fan of matte black), but can't have the colors not line up.

For what it's worth, the concept of the helmet you are describing exists, despite us never actually wearing it. You can purchase it in a number of places, including the NCAA Store.

I prefer the white helmet over the alt variations. Again, I liked the chrome version best of the alt uniforms. As a one-off, I don't mind changing the helmet colors, but I do prefer that they keep the styling where it is recognizably Nebraska.

It’s 2026, they can make a red helmet, exactly the opposite of the white one IMO. I’d just like to keep things simple, and yet cool and hip at the same time. So many different combinations you could create by just adding a red helmet.
