Raiola's lost his self-confidence. First 3 games, pinpoint accuracy but not anymore. My guess true freshman.
My guess is that he has been playing injured (shoulder). A minor injury, and still our best option, but still an injury.
And don't think that other teams don't know it.
Why do you think OSU left all that space open on defense for the QB to run?
They didn't think that DONU would want Dylan to do that with his shoulder even with the yards out there begging to be taken.
You put HH in there at QB and that defense switches in a heart beat and the opening for QB run goes away.

He is a true freshman. He is learning every week. He may be banged up a bit but if he has arm problems Rhule would have him on the bench.
This season, like every season, has had surprises. Indiana being the biggest one. Special teams problems wasn't expected. Taking Ohio State down to the wire was another one. Let us not forget, the goal this year was a bowl game (for most of us) and that can still happen but I don't want to ruin Raiola's arm to get there.
The playoffs or a conference championship may be in the cards for next year but was never a realistic expectation this year. We should hope the Husker beat UCLA and then we can buy tickets to Memphis, enjoy some bar-b-que and good music and look forward to greater things next year.

True, he is a freshman, but we are 2/3 of the way through the season, so i's not like he hasn't seen about everything defenses can throw at him.
Oh there's plenty he hasn't seen. As a D coordinator you're going to switch things up to things you haven't done when playing young QBs to try and make them panic

A DC can scheme to make a ten year NFL vet look silly. Making a true freshman QB with eight games under his belt at this level look like the game is still moving pretty fast for him is nowhere near as difficult.
Seeing a defense and getting enough reps against that defense are 2 totally different things. He's played 7 games. There is a reason almost every true freshman, regardless of ability, don't play. However, Nebraska's QB situation is still radically better than it was last year.
Agreed and it’s going to take time for him to get to his potential, but I think he’s got the goods, but we’ll need different coaches to elevate him to what he can be
