Probably! Would be par for the course.
The two options I've seen the most speculated on are:
1. Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin
2. Iowa, Minnesota, and Northwestern
I think the first is more likely and that's assuming the conference actually does this, which I don't think is certain yet.No to option 2.
Yep, those would be more logical options for protected rival games. I just don't trust the Big 10 given their fixation on "whatever sells best to TV partners".
Of the two logical options, I would prefer the latter.

What you are saying is noble, but the last thing NU needs after the last 18 years is a competitive disadvantage.
With last year's "play the best to be the best" schedule, we ended up 3-9. I'm not asking for Illinois, Rutgers, and Maryland as our three "rivals", but it needs to be balanced.
