A very fair, national take (video)

I want Frost to succeed, but the evidence is hard to overlook. Josh Pate seems pretty level headed.

How can Frost excel at Oregon, UCF and then lay such an offensive egg here??

If you can't win the line of scrimmage - you won't win much......

My biggest disappointment right now is that in year four - we are still (on a regular basis) not the most physical team on the field. I won't call out specific players - everyone can see the film - but why are our lines getting abused by Illinois. Granted - Illinois may surprise some people due to having a very mature, "grown man" team, but at times it appeared we were just getting pushed around and not pushing back. The lack of physicality at the line of scrimmage hasn't been around since SUH left.

Husker Weatherman- Great find I really enjoyed watching that. Spot on review. Can you go take a look at practice tomorrow and maybe give the coaches some pointers?

Worth the watch.

When you play a game with no other games to distract attention, a lot of people saw it, and the opinions are everywhere now. It was the #1 story of the college football weekend.

Pretty difficult debating this take.

I truly wish Coach Frost the best and “maybe” he can turn it around. However, this video is spot on at this point in his time at Nebraska.

Pate's take actually got me thinking (especially his take on feeling that Frost was our savior, and that... "It's okay... move on to the next guy... don't quit")... I wonder where we are at with the 7 stages of grief/loss:
  1. Shock and denial.
  2. Pain and guilt.
  3. Anger and bargaining.
  4. Depression.
  5. The upward turn.
  6. Reconstruction and working through.
  7. Acceptance and hope.
No doubt #4, many including yours truly, no longer mad.......and the upward turn hasn't taken shape. It means the guy I have really been rooting for might not be the one, but I was also in the camp to keep Pelini, so there's that! :)

That surprised me too. I thought it was mentioned on a few occasions that Lubick was going to be taking over or having a much larger role in the play calls.

Definitely was.

In fact, there were some here criticizing posters for their lack of awareness that Lubick would have a significant role in play calling.

It's making me thing Frost is a control freak.

That, and along with bringing his full staff with him from UCF. Seems he doesn't want coaches around him that might second guess him.

Do you remember SF talking about installing Oregon Speed with Nebraska physical in his Oregon offense? Did you ever see him do it?

Wait, weren’t we already at the level of Iowa and Wisconsin and that wasn’t good enough? Now we’re trying to get there? Yikes

I don't think we are Indiana level right now.
A Craig Bohl coached Wyoming would beat Nebraska right now. Nebraska wouldn't even compete in the Mountain West Conference, that's how bad they currently are. Buffalo is going to be a test, after that I don't see a win. Frost had beter pull his head out of his butt. There is plenty of talent on the team, it's the coaching that is lacking.

I’ve never subscribed to this numbering system of emotions but for fun I’ll say a mix of 5, 6 and 7. I believe ADTA is going to make a move at some point, probably let the season play out. Whether or not he sticks with Frost or decides to make a change is anyone’s guess. I believe the status quo of Frosts tenure up to this point is on unstable ground. I for one am optimistic that it won’t be allowed to continue in its current form and that gives me hope for the future of NU Football.

I am thinking HCSF is scratching his head with cognitive dissonance because his system is not working different people different years same QB and offense no identity. Einstein said running the same thing expecting different results was insanity and it looks like he was slapped in the face with reality. BB came out in even front and they were not ready for it. Even at Little League we prepped for odd and even fronts and could adjust on the spot. I think AM can not throw an overhanded pass the come-out side arm and still wonder if he is hiding an injury.
