Two of the three seasons have been underachieving IMO. I give him a pass on year one. He’s at the controls, every aspect of Cornhusker football is all him now. There is no one left to blame but him. He has top 20’ish talent. His teams play like they have top 70’ish talent. Zero excuse for a subpar season last year, none. He either needs to produce, or be replaced, although they can’t do that for at least two more seasons due to the ignorant extension.

He needs to stop being a car salesman and be a gritty, kick your ass football coach. Nothing else needs to be said. It ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT TAKE 4 seasons to get results in today’s CFB. His teams need to toughen up, hit people, and play exciting, aggressive football. Nothing else needs to be said. He’s 19-19 after 3 years. That’s all that matters. His time is right now. For those who say he needs 4-6 seasons to start winning, I only say, LOOK AROUND.

Yea look around. Deion Sanders, Luke Finkrill, Lincoln Riley, Hugh Freeze, Brian Kelly, Billy Napier. Brent Veneables 2 losing seasons in his first 3 years. Went 10-3 in his FOURTH season after being handed a Cadillac.

Now name the teams that have blown past NU? Go ahead, it’s ok, you can do it? C’mon, it’s ok. Venables is a bad example. Deion had a 9 win season, Kelly went 34-13, Wisconsin didn’t give Fickell any money, although he’s a bad coach anyway, and Freeze and Napier just weren’t very good. Freeze got 2 1/2 seasons.

Other than Cignetti I can’t think of another team that was as bad as .340 frost that has “blown by us”. Even Tom Allen had Indiana winning at + .400. Heck Indiana had a perfect 1-0 record against us under Frost.
 
I seriously don't get all the frustration with Rhule being in the public eye. I love that he goes on shows and radio programs and is seemingly trying to make NU relevant in the National media space. Acting like him doing a 30 minute spot on the Pat show on Thursdays during the season somehow means he has no time with his players, on the field, in meetings, etc is asinine. 30 minutes. There's 10050 minutes left in the week outside that.

Coach Rhule has always been a CEO type of coach to begin with, the 30 minute show and podcast are not going to make or break Coach Rhule's time in Lincoln. This last overhaul of staff will be a major factor in his time at Nebraska

The elephant in the room is his game day decisions with time management etc. Unfortunately I don't see that getting better. Only being minimized with better play.

He’s the head coach, therefore fans are frustrated with him.
