And that's sad. I'm not giving up on Rhule by any means. But we all know how deep it cuts when we get beat by a team that uses our former formula against us. Not even "our" formula, but a cut rate version of it.

Win the trenches. Be the strongest team in Q4. It's not that difficult.

Lol, I've taken the over on the HUSKER season wins at least 5 years in a row and have lost every time. Now, if it stays at 5.5 or 6, I will be all in again with no hesitation at all. Guess I'm just a glutton for losing but at those odds, they would be the lowest win total put up for wagering over at least the 5 past years and I gotta go for it. It will be very interesting to review this thread after the results of this coming season is in and see how wrong or right we were. Sure the conference schedule is brutal but sooner or later the HUSKERS are going to get some huge wins so why not start this year. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!

Ohio Bobcats .... W
Bowling Green .... W (substitute Tennessee Vols)
FCS North Dakota cupcakes .... W (not NDSU Bisons !)
@ Spartans ..... L
Terps .... W
Hoosiers .... L
@ Ducks .... L
Huskies ..... L
@ Illini .... L
@ Rutgers .... W
Buckeyes .... L
@ Hawkeyes .... L

2026 Bowl ..... not qualified :(

Only hopes, Spartans and/or Illini upset victories
That's how I see it too. It's a challenging schedule and our Huskers haven't overperformed in so long, I'm finding it hard to believe that this year will be different. However, I will be watching and cheering just in case.

Well @ E. Lansing and new HC, Pat Fitzgerald

Pat Fitzgerald held a successful
6-5 record against Nebraska during his tenure as Northwestern's head coach (2006–2022). He frequently troubled the Cornhuskers, winning the first-ever Big Ten matchup between the schools in 2011 and winning his final meeting against them in Ireland in 2022.

Almost 7-4 record ....

Nebraska stuns Northwestern on Hail Mary as time expires

I honestly believe this team will win 9 games next season. I only figured 5 last season. I believe we will see a drastic improvement in offensive line play. Also believe the defense will be more aggressive and better than last season.
Are you hungover today?

I've been trying to handicap Nebraska games for the last 3-4 years now and I've had a pretty good run of (luck?) success. I'm at something like 80% picking the Husker games over the last 3 years and that's with spreads. No over unders, I don't mess with those. A couple of my friends have made out pretty well taking my "advice".

If I had some disposable income right now, I'd put it ALL on that over 5.5 wins.

It doesn't mean I think Nebraska will win 8-9-10 games by any stretch, but they will absolutely win 6.

Easy money, and you can quote me.

Place that bet brother!
I’m not really a betting type of dude. However if I was forced to make a play one side or the other, I’d take the under. Some year, now, or somewhere down the line, the Huskers will bow up. I’m just rolling with their own history. Decade of awful football. They need to show out somehow. Win @Oregon, win a big game, it could change the narrative. They are more than capable, but who knows if they can get out of their own way? History says no.
