5.5 Wins - Who is taking the Over Bet for Total Wins? Update: GEMINI

Will you Take the Over or Under the 5.5 Wins for Husker Football in 2026?

  • Total voters

Over (6-6)
W - Ohio, Bowling Green, North Dakota, Rutgers
L - Oregon, Illinois, Ohio State, Iowa
Lose to one of the remaining three (Michigan State, Maryland, Washington)
Sounds reasonable but I’m less optimistic than you are. For one, Michigan State under Fitzgerald concerns me. And the fact that we don’t think we can beat Illinois makes me wish we’d hired Bielema.

Waiting for your prediction given the current roster and 2026 schedule.

You just proved my point. Why in year 4 is our roster not good enough to compete with the big boys in the Big Ten. Who is in charge of that? A large chunk of our fan base has turned into Eeyore. "Well it's a tough schedule so we can't expect anything." We are morphing into Maryland; happy if we make a bowl game with three games against 2 MAC schools and an FCS school.

To me in this day and age of the portal predicting a win total for a season that is six months away is just silly

With 16 portal additions to the roster many in key spots of need it's a stab in the dark at best in my opinion

Not to mention it just fuels the apathy of a loud minority of Nebraska fans

Vegas generating early headlines in hope of getting folks to lay bets

it would be pretty boring around here in the off season if we didn't have these kibbles to chew on, discuss, predict, debate, moan about, etc....
:)

I'm concerned that the over/under win total isn't more like 8.5 or 9.5 going into Rhule's 4th season.

There's a lot of money being spent in Lincoln. Maybe not enough to expect a playoff team, but certainly enough for a top 25 team at this point.

I think I might put some Cash on the Over.
My feeling is this will move up as we get closer to the season.

Big Ten
10.5: Oregon, Indiana
9.5: Ohio State, Penn State
8.5: USC, Michigan
7.5: Illinois, Washington, Iowa
6.5: Wisconsin, UCLA
5.5: Nebraska, Minnesota, Northwestern
4.5: Rutgers, Maryland
3.5: Michigan State, Purdue
I’d be a psu under if I were a gambler

Might be a little early for that assumption given he hasn’t even finished his first spring practice with his new team yet. ;)

That over/under for PSU does look a bit dangerous for year 1.
Well, geez, we are talking about O/U for 2026 a little early too, aren't we.
