5-1, to 1-5

If it wasn't for a Wisconsin team in free fall HCMR would be winless in November and 0% in bowl eligibility games. Last Friday was a Matt Rhule masterpiece. The chef's kiss were the analytics. How many teams manage to lose a game when they hold the opponent to five first downs and no third down conversions?

Wishing for a bowl based on who we could beat, is kinda lame. I am just glad they MADE a bowl. I think we will have our hands full anywhere we go.

Do you think we can beat Bama, L$U or Ole Miss? I mean I love the Huskers and am more optimistic than most on this board.

However, I feel we would get blown out by all 3....
On the day OU caught Alabama, yes. Kentucky beat Mississippi. LSU is nothing special. Yes, the Huskers could compete with any of them.

I live in Baton Rouge, attended LSU, and hate their football program with a passion but they would maul us. Their passing attack alone would pick us apart, and their RBs would gash us for huge chunks. It would not be close.

They'll have several weeks to prepare and will not be grounded week to week. Neither will we . I want no part of Bama
2 blue bloods, talented multiyear qb starter,, better overall talent. hard pass. we will get throttled. sad to say but i at least want a competitive game.

This is Nebraska football now. There's no identity. There is no team anymore. Athletes come and go instead of sticking with the program. NU isn't where kids dream of playing at anymore. The fire is out and all that is left are the embers. You can say whatever you want but the reality is, NU football is dead.
Welcome to modern college football. Every team evolves. Every team flips players. There is no going back to the pre-2000 era. Still, Nebraska has maintained some important traditions. The Nebraska players are heavily involved in community service and exceeding D1 academic progress. While Rhule has brought in transfers, he hasn't gone full cut-throat like Sanders at Colorado or Kiffin at Ole Miss. Rhule has tried to keep with Nebraska's walk-on tradition but the new roster limits are likely going to hurt that effort. Nebraska is a different place, but it has to respond to the changes around it.

I don't understand the point of all-or-nothing posts like this. It's not even close to accurate at any point. All indications are that Nebraska has a tight-knit team that plays hard for each other. Key players came back this year when they could have moved on. Others are announcing they'll be back for next year. We continue to have a core of leaders who bleed red and wouldn't dream of playing anywhere else. If this is what you truly believe, why are you here? If you truly care, why post such categorical negativism as if it sums up reality?
