Does anyone know which 2028 recruits we will be offering next week? I know of Rautenberg, who I expect will pick Nebraska since she is from here and her mom is a legacy player. Who are the others we are looking at? How many players do you think they will take for this class?

The how many is a crazy question given the 5 for 5 and unknown if or how grandfathering would happen. All anyone really knows comes from unsubstantiated rumors, but here goes.
You seem spot on re Rautenberg, though Texas fans seem to think they have a chance.
Apparently there are two Setters who rank far above all other setters. One, Samuels, is from South Dakota and the assumption is there is strong mutual interest. The second is from Hawaii, and while we might do a thing where we offer both and say the first to accept wins, Texas and Wisconsin seem more in the hunt for the Hawaiian.
A RS, Megan Hodges, seems like someone Nebraska wants too, and a second RS, Sarah Floyd seems on the radar. Obviously, they would only take one of those. Texas seems very high on Floyd as well.
That is what I have read. No OH would be rare. No libero would be too, but they took two in 2027.
Yeah, I would imagine the 5 for 5 really throws a wrench into 2028 roster planning.

This one was a no-brainer. Nebraska girl. Daughter of a Husker legend who is in the Nebraska athletic hall of fame and played on the 1995 volleyball national championship team. As weaver75 notes above, it is Samuels and Hodges that are the question marks. Also, on the volleytalk website they say Nebraska is showing late interest in an outside hitter from Germany named Leilani Slacanin. I have no idea if the interest is mutual.
I think this may be the biggest get for this class. Campbell Flynn will be a senior in '28, so getting a good setter in this class is critical.

Agree! But what does “senior” mean? With 5 for 5, couldn’t Flynn be here til 29? And if Bergen stays for ‘27, will Flynn look elsewhere. It’s a new world to try and decipher.
They are just killing it on the recruiting front.
I am pretty happy with the 3 recruits we have. I wonder if they are even trying to get Slacanin now, or if they decide the 3 they have is enough.

With 5 for 5 a done deal, you have to wonder what this means for the four seniors. I'm not sure what pro volleyball pays, but I'd have to think their NIL money here has to be as good if not better. It's clear Nebraska is not like other college teams as it relates to National exposure, even worldwide exposure, and the possibility of lucrative NIL deals.
Could they stay an extra season, finish up in December of 27, and then try to land a spot on the 2028 Olympic team that competes in Los Angles in July.
