2024 G, Braden Frager, 6-6, 210 lbs, Lincoln Southwest - offered > N

Likely referring to Robin Washut's tweet where he says Husker's haven't signed a LINCOLN recruit out of HS since Jake Muhleisen in 2001.

(I don't know how accurate this is either, but but seems to me the implication is the important thing. Hopefully in-state recruiting is becoming more important to Fred and his Assistants, particularly with the upcoming talent in the state.
This is a huge commit tbh. Lincoln and Omaha are exploding with talent and he (Frager) plays for an influential AAU team, and is well liked

We had the one who we cooled on and he went to Okie State, but I can’t remember any others that there was mutual interest with. The other question is how many D1 guys came out of Lincoln since 2001?

I can think of two off the top of my head: Sam Griesel and Josiah Allick. Charlie Easley got a D1 scholarship, but he started at Nebraska. Lincoln hasn't been a hotbed of basketball talent, but maybe it is heating up a little.

Not many but the following are all D1scholarship guys right now.

Sam Hastreiter- Pius
Jack Hastreiter-Pius
Donovan Williams-Northstar

Anyone have any interesting tea to spill on why Frager decided to reclass? I guess it is the opportunity, but he'd still have that opportunity 12 months later and after getting to have a "normal" high school senior year. Being in Lincoln seems like more of a distraction than a benefit, although parents can lay hands on him almost immediately if needed. He's going to have buddies and highschoolers coming at him all the time. I would think the parents and Hoiberg have had more than a couple words about this.

Maybe he wants to go to volleyball matches for free. "mshrug:

Saw this elsewhere:

LSW finished with a 15-8 record including a 82-50 season ending loss to Millard North in the district final.

Stat line: 18 pts, 7 reb, 27% from 3, 50% from the field and 78% from the line.

Heard he might redshirt next year, which I don't understand when you could play another year of high school ball.
