2023 NFL Draft

I had no clue Chiefs fans were so cocky. :Whiteflag:

As I've said recently ... Hurts' contract will be exceeded in short order. Already happened with Lamar Jackson. I'd rather have Hurts than Lamar.

I tend to think the Eagles will go with a CB for their second first round pick. Unsure what their interest is in Joey Porter Jr.

We'll see.

Wow.

Philadelphia Bulldogs.

I love it.

2022 draft -- first two picks were an UGA DL and LB
2023 draft -- first two picks were an UGA DL and LB

Wild.

But man, that Georgia defense was one of the best all-time. Loaded with talent. I'll take 'em!

Philly is going to be one of the top stories from the first round. Maybe THE top story.

Kiper said the Eagles got his #1 and #12 picks with picks #9 and #30. Value.

Super bowl repeat?

Eagles did damn well with their 2 1sts. Smith at 30 is a steal.

I'll bet every sports site that grades teams for their draft picks will have the Eagles with an A or A+ for the first round.

Makes me wonder if a Super Bowl team has ever done that well in the following draft. Of course, acquiring that #10 pick as part of a deal they made with New Orleans last year was huge -- and Super Bowl teams aren't usually in that position in the draft.

Philly did need defense. They lost a couple key free agents from last year's team. And their future HOF dlinemen (Cox and Graham -- Fletcher Cox is a HOF lock) are long in the tooth -- but still highly productive.

I love the Eagles front office.

BTW, I found Jerry Jones' pick to be "interesting."

Can you imagine being any of those four UGA defenders from the 2021 natty team that are all now Eagles? How much fun must that be to know they'll get to continue to play together -- and possibly dominate -- for years to come?!

Has any other NFL team ever done anything like that? Drafting that many players from the same side of the ball from the same college team?

If you watched the draft, you saw tears streaming down Jalen Carter's face the entire time. I think a lot of people really appreciated that. No doubt he went through the ringer. But it also shows him as humble -- a wonderful trait at any time, but especially now for Jalen Carter.

I read this morning that the Chiefs tried to move up to the Cowboys spot but the Cowboys didn't want to trade with them. I assume the Chiefs either wanted Nolan Smith, Anton Harrison, or Myles Murphy. Instead, the Cowboys let the Birds get Smith and now have to face him twice a year, and the Cowboys used their pick on a guy who likely would have been there at 31.
