The context to keep in mind is that Rhule was rebuilding both programs without the transfer portal. He has already indicated that NU has enough talent for a winning season and he doesn't expect a repeat of Temple/Baylor Year 1.Team performance wise we have a long way to go to get to a winning season. May not happen in 2023, sadly. I keep thinking of HCMR first seasons at Temple and Baylor where he went 2-10 and 1-11 building his program. I think he can get us back to winning seasons, (I thot that with Frost too), but it could be a couple years before we see it. But It would be improvement if HCMR and staff can pull off a 6-6 W-L.

Surprised that this new widget didn't get a mention on this thread.
Emptied one barrel each into the south and north end zones, which was a nice touch since der viener schlinger for whatever reason often leaves them out.

Friday night games should always be played after a bye weekWhy would anyone agree to playing Illinois on a friday night right after playing michigan? in illinois, after they play purdue??
if we beat illinois, then Rhule would have earned himself a statue next to osborn before he's done here.
Nebraska has had the talent to be a top 25 team the last 5 years but that hasn't translated to winning seasons. The context to keep in mind is that Rhule was rebuilding both programs without the transfer portal. Here's to hoping a regime change can be the difference with all of that talent to get us to 6+ wins..Nebraska has had the talent to be a top 25 team the last 5 years but that hasn't translated to winning seasons.
2018 College Football Team Talent Composite
In order to create the most comprehensive Team Recruiting Ranking without any notion of bias, 247Sports Team Recruiting Ranking is solely based on the 247Sports Composite Rating.247sports.com
In 2022 our team talent was ranked at #24
In 2021 we were ranked #23
In 2020 we were ranked at #24
In 2019 we were ranked at #24
In 2018 we ranked #26
In 2017 we ranked #29
All these rankings of Talent should have equated to winning seasons, but they didn't. And it may not again for HCMR first season. I didn't see anything this spring game to make me think differently. We need to wait till the season starts to see if there is enough player development, coaching, & improvement to get us to 6-6 or better.
It was standing room only!!
