As he mentioned, the doctors have so many more tools now than ever in history. My mother had afib the last 20+ years of her life and she almost lived to 92. In her last weeks, her heart pattern sounded like a jazz beat.
To a younger guy who depended on his physical fitness for his livelihood, you can see why he - and his family - are concerned. I have some precursors of Afib also, and have been helping my cardiologist keep his golf club collection up to date, apparently, that helps the condition somehow.
My thoughts are with him and his family. He's one crazy dude and truly committed to the Huskers........and that is quite cool in my book.
