2022 Spring Practice Thread; Wednesday 6 April Coaches Joseph, Fisher & 3-4 Players &

They are only allowed 15 practices including the Spring Game thus they are spaced out for all the obvious reasons
Yes, I understand. Just seems to me that there would be a lack of consistency in having a practice then skipping a couple of days before another practice is held. The reason for practice is to instill retention through repetition in whatever you are trying to accomplish. Maybe I am just old school.

yep, lets get right to fixing that in 4 years???

Would you rather we didn’t?

Is there any credible evidence that we have?
I would argue that the evidence, not the “talk” mind you, but actually evidence, is that we have doubled down in the other direction.
-talk is of More passing,
-tempo,
- line getting its annual spring accolades,
- defense has been ravaged by graduation/transfer,
- WR group is more than likely the most talented unit since frost has been here,
-1st year ol coach,
- mismatched group of pass happy QB’s filling coaching vacancies with no RB coach on the horizon*
-will any of the players taking up leadership roles show in the fall this year?
-how many of the starting 5 OL come fall are participating in the spring?

And of course the obvious but often overlooked…. Was Greg Austin really the problem with the offense line?

Would love love ❤️ to see smothers come out of this as the leader in the clubhouse ala joe ganz….. I think we all know it will take the same scenario to take place with anointed incoming transfer to get injured for that to happen. Better yet maybe Thompson just balls out!!

I don't think anyone's anointed

From all accounts Casey Thompson is earning the job based on the various comments from his teammates and coaches

No reason, then, to follow the team since it's all bad?

I think anyone who has watched games where Thompson played shouldn't be surprised if he's stepped in and shown he's the guy out of the gate. The only guy we had on the roster that was that kind of player is now wearing purple. And Thompson may very well be a better Martinez-type player than Martinez was.
