2020 Practice Schedule Preseason Update: Fall Camp Is Done

Not having Manning week 1 sucks. I get the feeling that others think he should be practicing through a minor injury but he’s not willing to tough his way through it. Purely speculative based on a few comments. Anyone have more definitive information? I hope he gets his head straight and is on the roster in the future. If he’s like some of the JUCO kids I’ve seen on Last Chance U, good decision-making may not be a strength. Hopefully not another case of wasted talent.

It’s more than just a minor injury keeping him out. I’ll just leave it at that until HCSF comments more.

I am highly concerned about WR. It sounds like we may be setting ourselves up for more of last year, only minus Spielman. Manning, Robinson, and Brown all have some sort of injury and/or "off field" problem.

Credit to Warner, Falck, Folkers, and Liewer for stepping up, but it's hard to see that group having a lot of success against Ohio St. and Penn St.

I don't know a lot, but Scott will give him more chances then most coaches would if that is indeed what it is, just like he did with Maurice, just like Osbourne did with Phillips. Some of these kids come from some bad places, bad situations etc and they are going to mentor them up to a point, but they have to make their own decisions at some point. I keep crossing my fingers its a tweaked hammy or something to that effect, but most have gone the pure speculation route instead of the wait and see approach

Comparing Mo to Manning is about as Apple to oranges as one can get.

As I mentioned before, it’s more than just a minor injury - but anything else needs to come from either Manning himself or from Frost by permission from Manning.

Regardless of the young's man issues, he probably needs some prayers from Husker Nation to get right medically, mentally / emotionally or academically.

I got to believe that Frost & Co are handling this well … and, anyone referencing Mo is not a fair comparison as none of us are in the know.
