2020 Deer Season

I remember many times as a kid sitting and waiting for hours/days for one to get close.
This is out my back basement door. They are everywhere here. Way over populated.

Suburban deer are almost a different species as far as behaviors. They know you can't shoot them, and they can reproduce like rabbits.

Does your area allow suburban archery?

Some good deer to be had thru urban archery. They are used to level of human scent and not quite as jumpy at every little sound. I did it years ago in Leavenworth, KS and I believe they ran it as "earn a buck", although I didn't get a chance at any bucks anyway.
You had to take a 25 question test on the ordinance and do a 25yd proficiency test.

No...........

They need to. The over population is reducing them to eating pine needles. Starving to death.

Pulled all of my cameras last weekend. Looks like the bucks all made it through hunting season. I think a new one even showed up on film. Here's to them growing a bit for next season,

As far as Seals not shooting at distance while hunting is laughable. Just saying this from personal experience. Although it depends on the location, terrain and cover.

You are probably correct. I suppose I haven't hunted up north or out west with military guys in open areas, now that I think about it.

If you ever get a chance to hunt out here it is awesome. Giant Mule Deer and nothing compares to hunting a Bull Elk.

Found the deer I hunted for several weeks in 2019...he ghosted us we had thought. He has several points chewed off.

What would that have scored do ya think ? 190 ? The spread and tine lengths are incredible. Looks to be 12 pt minimum. Awesome rack

9 original points on his right side, 6 on the left. We used old pics to score him at 180 4/8, 19" spread.
