2019 Recruiting Board

OT Jimmy Fritzche and DE Ty Robinson join Banks as early signing day commitments.

Robinson in particular is a huge recruiting victory.

Lloyd Summerall chose Florida as was expected. He was probably the highest ranked high-priority target Nebraska was unable to land in this class.

Okay, the list is now up to date as of today which includes signing information and teams players have committed to or signed with.

All players signed with other teams are in a grouping following Nebraska commits and undecided. This grouping is now split into two separate sub-groupings. The first sub-grouping is players committed but not signed. The next sub-grouping is marked "SIGNED" and includes all players that have signed with other teams and therefore can be disregarded.

Thanks HIO. You deserve a happy holiday. :Santa:

The final Rivals 250 is not out and Nebraska did really well in the final revision.

Wandale Robinson moved up 37 spots to #61. His RR was also bumped to a 6.0.
Ty Robinson moved into the top 100 by moving up 55 spots to #91.
Nick Henrich dropped 8 spots to #127. Given his injury, that isn't too bad.
Bruce Benhart stormed into the top 250 at #139. He received his 4th star and his RR jumped from 5.7 to 5.9.

NU recruit, Noa Pola-Gates dropped two spots to #116.

Two in the top 100 and three others (if we get NPG) in the top 150. That's the best I can remember in quite some time for NU.

Composite 247 followed suit with Rivals, mainly because Rivals is one of the major recruiting services it uses for its composite.
Other teams with multiple prospects in their recruiting class making significant moves up included Michigan with four and Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, and Nebraska with three each. On the other hand, Michigan also saw five drop along with Oklahoma, and four fallers for Florida State and Penn State versus just two risers for those two programs.

RB Wandale Robinson (Nebraska) – 156 to 112
OT Bryce Benhart (Nebraska) – 186 to 132
DE Ty Robinson (Nebraska) – 207 to 177

DB Noa Pola-Gates (Nebraska) 156
247 Composite 2019 Team recruiting rank for NU up to 19.

Composite 247 top 100 players; NU has 1. But we have 5 in the top 200. 6 in top 300.

WR Demariyon Houston verbals to Nebraska and will sign later today.

This likely closes NU's class. The status of Desmond Bland is unknown and may not likely be clarified until fall since no one is commenting on the situation. He could sign later if he gets his academics in order however, it is unknown if the staff is even willing to do that.

Made a final update on this thread. The recruits should all be listed with their final schools and rather or not they have signed. Keep in mind there are a number of players that could be signing within the next week or so--one of which could move NU from 16th to 15th in the rating.

Some things of note:
*Desmond Bland is still listed as an NU commit. He may still sign later this summer. It is unknown if NU would even accept his commit at that point.
*JC Transfer OC Josh Wegener is listed here as an NU walk-on commit however, I do not know his official status. He was not listed among the walk on class however, that may be because he would be a JUCO walk-on.
*Interesting that Tony Fair has not signed with UAB as of yet. I wonder if grades are an issue.
*It is always interesting at the end of every cycle how many unsigned and even undeclared recruits are left. Some of these players may sign in the following weeks/months however, it is probably safe to say that many of them are JUCO bound.

The 2020 version will be coming out in the next few weeks or so.

I thought I was done with this thread but . . .

6' 6" OC Garrett Nuss announced that he is walking for 2019.
