2016 Wing Isaiah Roby 'N'

We already have 3 commits for beyond 2015? I don't ever recall a time when we had players committing several years in advance (??) Maybe Woolridge, Strickland, Boone and that crew, but not recently.

Among many other things, it just seems like Miles has a better grasp on player personnel and looking into the future rather than scrounging for players at signing date.

One of those in my opinion, Arop, is a pretty big reach at this point. But Pinder and Roby are the goods...

Quad City Elite 17U Orange beat Houston Team Texas 53-33 in the championship game. Total team effort all weekend.

Sorry, Isaiah Roby is a 2016 Verbal Commit (not 2015 shown below - I'd edit it but then I lose the pic embed)

6'8" wing. That's all that needs to be said. I stopped worrying about weight with basketball players after saying (repeatedly) that Kevin Durant would get destroyed in the NBA. And that was after I claimed that Randy Moss would get killed in the NFL.

Prototypical!

watched his AAU highlight tape. this kid looks pretty good. nice catch and shoot, good ball handling, ability to finish at the rim....looks like he's got a lot of upside.

Looks like 2016 #Nebrasketball recruit Isaiah Roby had a strong showing at weekend Spiece Run N Slam: http://scouthoops.scout.com/story/1543662

Isaiah Roby,
SF/PF, Quad Cities Elite – Roby keeps on growing, and is nearly
6-foot-8 now and also improving. He still needs to get better as a
shooter, but Roby went to work all weekend long. He scored down low,
made plays off the bounce, and just was solid in producing double-double
type efforts game in and game out. Headed to Nebraska, Roby is someone with major upside.

Glad to see he is performing well! I would hope he skips the AAU stuff this summer and lives in the gym shooting! A few thousand shots a day!! Excited to see him in a couple years!
