So much they had to put adverb's in italics. Nebraska is also really good.https://www.si.com/college/illinois...ediction-illinois-vs-nebraska-game-11-2025-26
Hahahaha. What a bad prediction. They were very certain of themselves.
And then there was Uggi (Oogie). He is supposed to be second best among the transfers (Sandfort, Jarusevicius, Garcia, and Blue). Would be nice to have someone to keep the offense going when Reink needs a rest.As Coach Hoiberg said, Garcia was huge in the last 8 minutes. He is physical and gaining confidence. He will be very important the rest of the season. Opponents are leaving him open for the 3 ball. I like his stroke. When he gets a few to drop that will open up the middle. I really really like Garcia. There are too many favorites on the team to call him my favorite but I am really pulling for him.
On Sam's last drive, he was available under the basket to Sam's left, behind a big defender. Wpuld have been a tough pass, but easier shot than Lawrence'sAs Coach Hoiberg said, Garcia was huge in the last 8 minutes. He is physical and gaining confidence. Going to be interesting. Theres so much chemistry right not with this 8 man rotation, do we mess with that and give Uggi minutes? Or is he another boost to the team. I understand the question but I think this team has some very high aspirations this year. There is a lot of games left in the season and expect him to be needed. They will likely need him in the tough BIG schedule and they have to get him some minutes to get him ready. He can fill in for either Burke or Mast when needed but he really needs to get game ready.Going to be interesting. On a second note, seems odd that Leo didnt RS. His minutes are so little and theres no real place for him in any rotation.
Maybe Leo simply wasnt willing to RS, but seems odd. He will be a starter next year I assume
I think if Leo sprains his ankle again or any other injury before he participates in 9 games, they might really look at shutting him down for the year. He's gotten good experience, and they wanted a bridge until Uggi got back -- but I think that bridge ended up being Garcia. Would be smart to keep another year for Leo, but I think he's 20 or 21 already and he might move on before 5 years anyways.I understand the question but I think this team has some very high aspirations this year. Also, it’s not wasted time. It keeps him interested to avoid a transfer in the offseason and gets him ready for next year. I think Hoiberg is coaching to win now.
I looked that up. He is 20. That is probably exactly why they didnt RS him. He will probably get some minutes these next few games and be there for us if there are injuries. Leo and Uggi give us some real insurance for injuries IMO. That being said, we cannot get Rink or Pryce hurt for any extended period of timeI think if Leo sprains his ankle again or any other injury before he participates in 9 games, they might really look at shutting him down for the year.
