I just saw this on Huskers.com, also. 
It marks Nebraska’s 124th week all-time at No. 1 in the AVCA Coaches Poll, the most of any program in the nation. The Huskers have been ranked No. 1 to start a season in three of the last five years, including 2025 and 2022.
I see where Texas and A&M each got a 1st place vote. Hmm, wonder who gave it to them?

Four additional Nebraska volleyball matches have been selected for TV broadcasts, joining the broadcast schedule announced earlier this week.
Nebraska Public Media has been granted the rights to televise the Red-White Scrimmage on Aug. 16 and three regular-season matches: Georgia Tech (Sept. 12), Rutgers (Sept. 25) and Illinois (Nov. 12).
All matches that are televised on Nebraska Public Media are also streamed on B1G+.

Texas is a legit top pick this year. They are going to be very good. Picking them as preseason number 1 is not a bad pick. Texas A&M is the defending national champs, so it shouldn't be surprising that someone picked them number one.I just saw this on Huskers.com, also.

I think A&M is going to have a huge dropoff from last year since they graduated 9 seniors, including 6 of the 7 starters from last year's squad. Texas is the real deal though. That Nebraska-Texas matchup in Vegas might be the best game of the regular season.

I was just relating to no one other than their own coaches believe in them. Just my opinion on Texas smugness
No love for anything out of Texas. since the days of Coach Brown of football.A&M won it all, but they are depleted, as you noted. Surprised they got a vote. With that much of a drop in players from a #1 team, I would keep the #1 pick to myself, coach!
Texas? Just don't care for them, all the way back to Mack Brown and his cronies of the Big 12 conference.

I am sure their coach wants to let them know he believes in them. Of course, I treated Texas's coach differently for voting for his team. Yeah, don't like any Texas. Good to have choices! 
Agree. We've been so close, but just couldn't nail it down. Imagine having only 1 loss for the entire season, and you are not even in the Final 4! Gotta' get the ring for Harper, Andi and Bergen!!!
