If you are talking about him playing this fall, I'm pretty sure he can't and will not be eligible to play until next year.
His request for waiver is separate from the scholarship release and hasn't been decided yet. Longshot at best.
So does this bump us back over the 85 limit?

Man...I know things are going that way but I just have a major problem with players following coaches and getting a "waiver" to play right away.
Agree. I'm all for giving a waiver to a guy like Tanner Lee who didn't fit a new coach/system at all and went somewhere else, but following a coach creates a foggy line. Is it system, or preference?
Not really. He still won't be able to play this (I don't see his waiver prevailing).
First and foremost what a classy move by UCF to allow him to go on scholarship. This is about the kids best interest regardless if he can play this year or not.
