Game is on FS 1 again. Pregame is at 5 PM CDT Game at 6 PM CDT.

Paraguay has not beat a Top 50 team on the road in this decade.

The USA should win this game plain and simple. This Group other than Colombia has turned out to be arguably the easiest in the competition. Oh and that is not a bad thing. Take what you are given and move on to the Knockout Rounds. No apologies.

From Doyle's link:

What's it mean for the US?

Paraguay are about as good as Costa Rica, but they'll be more organized and won't go with the slow suicide that is a starting XI without a d-mid. Celso Ortiz is gonna start, and he's gonna be pretty good, which is what he always is. They're gonna be not that sloppy, and they're not gonna take that many risks, and they're gonna be at their most dangerous on set pieces. Paraguay live for those restarts.

The wildcard is Derlis Gonzalez, an ultra-talented winger who played 89 ineffectual minutes against Costa Rica then got rested for the whole game against Colombia. With Romero out he's the one guy who can pull off the sort of individual trickery -- a mazy run or a killer pass -- that this team otherwise lacks. The US can keep this game close and compact for the first hour, then punish Paraguay in transition over the final half hour. A win should be expected, and a draw is just fine (if a little bit disappointing).

Costa Rica is "generally" much better than Paraguay. Now, the Costa Rica team from last game? They may be about as good, but nothing more. Not sure if Doyle is trying to temper a loss or what........but losing to Paraguay would be pathetic. They are about the best matchup the US could hope for. No threat attacking, off their game defensively, playing in the USA (northeast USA, at that). US should win this 3-0. Yes, Gonzales is talented........just like a couple 100 others just as talented at his age. Let's not make him out to be Neymar, for the love of God.

Agree....would be the worst loss of the Klinsman era. With that being said I expect the USA to win this one comfortable.

Like I said earlier this has turned out to be arguably the easiest group in the Copa.

When Bolivia was screwed out of one result and nearly got another result, then that group is by far the easiest. Mexico's group minus Suarez is 2nd easiest.

Paraguay has beaten the USMNT the last two times they've played. Both matches were with Bradley leading the team. It's time to get a result.
