USMNT vs Ecuador Copa America Game 3 (6/16/16)

I actually think it might be a good thing. Indeed it would be the prefect game to immerse them. I am with you though I don't see it happening. Nagbe would be the one who gets the start if either do. Special player in my opinion.

That is a good question. I am not sure of the answer but will do some research myself.

I'd have no problem with both Pulisic and Nagbe starting in the semifinal match, but I don't think JK will do it. It's a perfect game for getting those two really immersed in what a huge International match feels like. Probably a long shot both of those two start, but it wouldn't surprise me if both play.

Also, I have done some basic searches, but lets say the USMNT wins the tournament. Would they get an automatic invitation to the 2019 Copa as the current title holders? Granted, that's putting the cart way before the horse at this stage, but it was something that crossed my mind last night.

JK's choice to put Besler at LB and move Johnson to RB was brilliant. Johnson faired very well, and Besler was more than solid.

Next game, it gives us the option of moving Johnson to the MF.

Yedlin at RB and Besler at LB.

The question mark that was Besler...............ended being the right decision. Kudos to Beez for making the adjustments necessary. He got caught forward within the first 5 minutes last night, and to me eye, it really didn't happen again. Now, did he put himself in some suboptimal positions? Yes, but I'll credit JK who had central midfield looking out for him. That left Fabian on an island, and he did all we could have asked.

I doubt it works

I'm not sure how the appeal works. Could it be changed to a yellow? If so, he'd still miss the next match.

If its overturned there would be no card.

I have seen a few overturned in both MLS and the EPL. If overturned its vacated.

Tough to get cards overturned its rare. Will be strictly based on how they interpret what Jones did and if there was intent.

At this point in time who knows.

Never seen a Yellow Card protest. Doubt that one gets over turned.

Maybe....Robert Green when Norwich got relegated (former England goalie) about 10 years ago was the main reason they almost stayed up....

Yeah their defense at Villa was horrendous too....but Guzan did nothing to help himself....

Great to see him rebound like he has....

Neuer would have had a horrendous season at Aston Villa this year. :)

Colombia beats Peru on penalties...Peru player (#10) who missed the final penalty was absolutely disconsolate after the match. What a horrible, painful way to finish a huge tournament match. They need to do short repeated OTs (10 min. halves?) until someone wins...penalties are so unfair to the game and just crush players mentally. Or whole countries (ahem, England).

Brooks is second only to Dempsey in that rating. Interesting how they all seem to be different...first time I have seen 10's that I can recall in any rankings...

To me Wood would have been higher than Dempsey on the average.

Jones bottom of the barrel in all of the polls. High of 5.5

Brooks at 7.5?

Wood at 7.0?

That was an ugly game....in all aspects...

Jones played very well up until the red. His assist to Dempsey was beautiful. Receiving a red will undoubtedly and understandably drop a player's rating.

See Yedlin after the Paraguay game.
