Midnight = new day = old tune.

The Darling Buds. Brit Pop with an edge. Early-90s, yet not many on this side of the pond were aware ... I absolutely LOVE this tune ... have for over a quarter-century ... (sigh) ... this song popped into my tiny brain tonight .... and THEN I discovered they are back together with a new album ... but this song is from 1991 ... and it would fit right in with 2017.

As we celebrate Memorial Day take a minute or two to remember why. I can't think of a better song to bring the point home than this one.

 
For the first time in a long time, I walked out of a show, because it sucked. Eli Young band, a country band that is trying to be country, pop and rock, and they fail at all three. Very disappointing to say the least.

I'm happy. The Black Angels released their official video to "Currency." Great song regardless of video .. but I love this video, as it's scenes around Austin ... even if they try to present it as "seedy" to fit the tune. :Biggrin: I'm ashamed I don't know which strip club is featured in this video. :(

Here's my actual new addition for the day. A Place to Bury Strangers. Last weekend at Stubb's, as recorded by me with my GoPro. :) Just a short clip .. small portion of the song ... before I picked my jaw up ...

first, I like this band. They were on my Spotify discover Playlist this week. Second, I listened to this band a lot yesterday, and then I went on a first date. The girl got into my car and I was listening to this band without thinking about their name. The girl looked at my display which read "A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS." I think it freaked her out a little lol.

Throwing a wrench into this thread a little. Everlast aka Eric Schrody has a new project called Warporn Industries. I am not a huge rap guy but there is some I like and this sounds pretty good to me.
