Post-Season:
Nebrasketball will not pursue postseason play!
Season Finished!
Improved year-over-year record, but a disappointing under .500 up-and-down season for a young team with five freshmen regulars, and injury keeping Shavon Shields out of a critical four game stretch near season end. Nevertheless, Huskers defeated several higher-ranked teams; taking others down-to-the-wire. Huskers closed the season out with our deepest run so far in the B1G Tournament.
While we must say farewell to MVP Shavon Shields and Sparkplug Benny Parker, the addition of Anton Gill combined with continued improvement in the upperclassmen and freshmen, along with incoming Isaiah Roby and Jeriah Horne makes this the most talented group of players we've seen since about the last time we played Kansas; ironically also on next year's schedule. Coach Miles can recruit; Now we'll see how well he 'coaches-em-up.' If we can bring in a graduate-transfer, or recruit a new BIG to play next season, Watch Out!
