How much has the SEC's tendency to oversign scholarship athletes added to their dominance on the field. Honestly, there has to be a reason that the SEC has dominated college football for the past 5-6 years. It just doesn't seem natural for one conference to dominate like this. Oversigning??? Is this the reason? I think it is...plus I think it is unethical and unfair to the scholarship athletes they "promise" to sign. Just seems like the NCAA needs to address this issue. What does everyone else think?

It certainly helps that they send non-contributing players packing and replace them with classes stocked with top recruits each year.

Yes, but when you are oversigning, you are manipulating the system and victimizing young hs players. You are basically picking 85 players out of 100. Its supposed to be 85 out of 85 if you are doing it the way it was intended to be done.

and that's why the SEC, the best conference in the entire world, was 5-5 in bowls last year. Yep, 5-5. Now that is dominance.

the MWC was 4-1.

"% extra" is compared to NU. Draw your own conclusions. The only mystery is why MS normally sucks. We're playing an over-signer in the Outback bowl..

And keep in mid, the SEC schools all start with a geographic advantage and then add to it with a "tryout" advantage...
